Here is my response to the teaser challenge posted in the welcome letter.

Newbie Challenge

Three headlines...

Woman bitten by fish dies from allergic reaction.  A woman browsing at a local fish market is in critical condition after being bitten by an eel at 11:05 yesterday morning.  The eel must have fallen into her umbrella during the morning deliveries while she was standing in front of the store.  The woman, who had opened her umbrella to block the sun while she was looking at the products was apparently deathly allergic to the eel which bit her as it fell from the umbrella.

Man chokes to death.  A man died yesterday morning from choking on jelly beans he was snacking on while waiting for the 11:08 bus.

Famous musician hit by bus.  Dominic Flamingo, the famous concert violin ist is in a coma after being hit by a bus yesterday morning at 11:07am.  Passer-bys said they didn't know if he was trying to cross the street or not but that he had stopped in the middle of the street to pick up some papers he had dropped.

Gary, noticing the events take place about the same time near each other races to the scene.  He sees the man eating jelly beans at the bus stop start to choke and gives him the heimlich propelling a jelly bean at a woman standing near the fish market.  The jelly bean hits a button on her umbrella, which she is holding at her side, opening it and letting out the eel that had fallen inside when the delivery man walked past her.  She shrieks and falls backward knocking over a man with a violin about to step into the street to retrieve a flyaway piece of sheet music just as a bus soars past.

"Some days you just gotta wonder..."
