He ran down the street.
He needed to find that kid.
Or the kid would die.
"Joey!" He shouted.
"Do not go into the house!"
He yelled, out of breath.
The kid stopped walking.
Joe just looked at him funny.
How'd he know my name?
"It is dangerous,
you mixed bleach and ammonia,
its fumes are toxic!"
"How do you know that?"
"It says so on the labels."
"That not what I mean."
"What do you mean then?"
"My name? How did you know it?"
"It is on your shirt!"
Joe looked at his shirt,
there was a name tag on it.
"Oh, I guess your right."
Joe opened the door.
A weird smell greeted them both.
Gary slammed the door.
"Oh man!" The kid says.
"Just be more careful, next time."
"I will, thank you."
"Open the windows,
air the house out." Gary said.
"Then enter the house."
Joe thought a minute.
"Hey wait! My dog is in there.
He is gonna die!"
"His name is Mutt Mutt!
My mother gave him to me,
right before she died."
Joe began to cry.
Gary looked at the paper
'A DOG KILLED BY FUMES'
"I'll get the dog.
Just stop crying now, Joey."
He said to the kid.
Taking a deep breath,
Gary ran into the house.
He looked for the dog.
Gary found the dog.
It ran up to him barking.
It then bit Gary!
"Ow! Darn it!" He yelped.
Grabbing the dog, he ran out.
"Here you go, Joey!"
He gave the dog back.
"Thank you very much, Mister!"
"You're very welcome."
