I’ve committed a sin with this piece.  I did not have it beta’d.  I am sure the fanfic Gods and Goddess’ will haunt me for the rest of my days.  So I throw myself at their feet and beg for mercy…… “Oh fanfic readers!  Forgive me this one sin.  For I felt the need to post something stupid and didn’t have the heart to ask someone to correct my grammatical errors.  For this travesty I will read four P/7 stories and two T/K’s.”

"Hey."

"Hey.  I missed you."

"I missed you too."

"Do you think we'll ever get used to this being apart for so long?"

"I don't know.  I hope not."

"It's kind of hard isn't it?  Not seeing each other whenever we want."

"Yeah.  I guess I didn't realize how often we saw each other on Voyager. How often we saw everybody."

"You miss Harry don't you?"

"Yeah.  Don't you?"

"I guess.  Yeah.  I miss him too.  He was my first friend on board Voyager."

"Mine too."

"So...how was your day?"

"Not bad.  Miral decided she was going to sleep all afternoon, which means she should be up all night.  I’ve finished setting up her nursery but there are still a few things we need for her.  I was thinking that a changing table would come in handy.  I still have some unpacking to do in our bedroom, but I'll finish that up tomorrow or the end of the week at the latest."

"Would you like some help?"

"That's okay.  I know you're tired from working all day.  So...how was your first day back at Starfleet?  Did they kick you out yet?"

"Funny.  It was...okay."

"Just okay?"

"I don't know what you want me to tell you.  They took me on a tour of the facility, and introduced me to several of the fellow officers.  Asked me all kinds of questions about what it was like in the Delta Quadrant and then I came home.  It wasn't exactly..."

"Voyager?"

"Huumph.  No.  It wasn't Voyager."

"Yeah, I know what you mean.  I was setting up Miral's crib and I kept looking around thinking how her room is bigger than our quarters were on Voyager.  Yet I would have gladly lived in those cramped little quarters for the rest of our lives.  And I would've been happy about it. After that, I kept wondering if Earth will ever feel like home again."

"Well I can tell you what I do know.  No matter where I am - Delta Quadrant - Earth -Vulcan - Mars, as long as I'm with you and Miral, I'm home."

"Well in that case... welcome home.  I love you."

"Yeah, I know.  I love you too.  So...why don't you let me take Miral for a while?"

"Sounds good.  I'll finish up with dinner and then I'll be able to get some of our clothes in the refresher too.  You'll be needing clean uniforms for the week.  I would do it tomorrow, but Miral's got a visit with the Doctor scheduled, then we're going to be visiting with Grandma Paris for lunch.  By that time Miral will be ready for her afternoon nap, and so will I, but I think I'll take advantage of that time and finish unpacking the rest of our things.  Oooooh and I'll have to figure out what we're having for dinner.  The Captain and her mother are coming over tomorrow night.  Plus I've got to get the living area set up before they get here.  Maybe I should reschedule with Grandma?  Then again I could probably get the living quarters taken care of before I turn in for the night or maybe I could....."

"Tom?"

"Yeah?"

"You're getting pretty good at this Mr. Mom thing."

"Thanks."

"But you're starting to scare me."

"Funny, B'Elanna.  Very funny.  Now what do you think about the couch against that wall?"
