Supernatural
By Danielle

Disclaimers: I in now way own any character portrayed within this work of fiction. They all belong to the king of the world, Joss Whedon.
Notes: Okay, so I was driving to work yesterday and I was listening to an old mix tape, and I happened to hear Supernatural, a Madonna b-side that I love.
It caused all sorts of crazy ideas, and so I present you with this interesting piece of work. The song was written by Madonna and Patrick Leonard, and appears on Red, Hot & Dance, as well as the b-side of the Cherish cassette single. Okay, enough of that, on with the fic!

Cordelia sleepily stumbled into her bedroom and fell forward onto the bed. God she was exhausted. And still in shock. Doyle had only died a week ago, and she was hurting something awful. She didn't even want to move. Stretching, she raised her arms over her head, and kicked off her shoes.

She turned her head so that she faced the clock. 12:48 am. Angel had had her researching all day every day about the Powers That Be and the Oracles since earlier that week. He was getting ready to go to them to plead for Doyle's life. She only hoped he succeeded.

Picking up her arm, she reached behind her head and pulled out the hair clip that resided there. It's a good thing she hadn't worn anything too stunning to work today, because she was too damn tired to get up and change into her PJ's. She reached out and set the alarm for 8, then shut off the light, resuming her face down position on the bed. Closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep.

~~~~~
She awoke to the feel of strong hands massaging her shoulders. Groaning as they worked out the knots in her back, she smiled. Slowly the hands traveled down her back, moving lower, working the middle of her back. The gentle circular pattern felt amazing.  Sleepily she opened one eye and looked at the clock. 2:57 am. Wait a minute! Who the hell was in her apartment?
She rolled over and flipped on the light, eyes searching the room. There was no one there. But she was sure she had felt something… Exhaling loudly she figured it had been a dream. She turned the light back off and lay down again.
Just as she was about to fall into a deep sleep, she felt it again, only this time it was working her lower back. It felt so good, but what the hell? She sat straight up and switched on the light calling out, "Who's there?"
She heard nothing, saw no one. Suddenly her brush slid across her dresser. "Dennis? Is that you?" In answer, her ghostly roommate materialized in front of her, and sat down on the bed.  Damn, he was cute for a dead guy. "Hi. You scared me."
He simply smiled and brushed her cheek. It felt like pins & needles. Electric even. "Okay, well, thanks for the thought. I could totally use a massage, but I think I need sleep more, okay? I'll see you in the morning."
She turned and shut off the light, resuming her position on the bed. Dennis, however, was undaunted. His hands again began to work her back, gently rubbing away her stress. She started to speak, "Dennis, that feels really good, but-" A ghostly finger reached out and pressed against her lips, shushing her. She figured, what the hell? It would probably put her to sleep. So she was quiet as he continued the massage.
It was when he untied her halter top at the neck that she began to protest. "Um, Dennis-" There was no noise, but she felt his lips press against her forehead. Then he began to work the nape of her neck. It felt so soothing that her words of protest died on her lips.
Sighing loudly, she was content. This was amazing. Her own supernatural masseusse. No payment necessary. Which was good since she couldn't afford it anyway. But Dennis had nothing better to do with his time, so if he wanted to ease her sore muscles, that was okay with her.
 His hands traveled back to the middle of her back, untying the other strap, and working in intricate patterns. Again, she had almost drifted off to sleep, when she felt his ghostly lips press kisses along her spine. Her voice froze in her throat, as the incredible sensations traveled to her nerve endings. He moved up to her neck, kissing the back of the long column, and then moving down to her shoulders. She gasped as she felt his hand cover hers, and he intertwined his fingers with her own.
She held her shirt to her with her free hand and rolled on to her back. "Dennis? I don't know what you-" His lips on hers cut off all words. All thoughts. It had been so long since she had someone. It felt so good.
His hands buried themselves in her hair as his lips continued to travel over hers, his nearly-invisible body pressing down on her. Her eyes rolled back in her head as he found a particularly sensitive spot under her ear.  His hands reached between them and pulled away the thin scrap of material which separated their bodies. He seemed to be everywhere, touching, kissing her body. Her mind was racing with thoughts of stopping him, but her need made it impossible. He wanted her, and she most definitely wanted him.
Her brain shut off completely as he nipped and licked at her stomach, caressing the scar on her abdomen gently. The sensations were overloading her body, she couldn't control her impulses. She reached down and grabbed his head, pulling him back up to her mouth, wanting to give as much pleasure as she was receiving. Their bodies tangled as her clothes fell away almost magically…
~~~~~

She awoke to the sound of the alarm blasting through the room. She slammed the snooze button and rolled to her right. She ran into something hard. Something she couldn't see. It was then she realized she was completely naked. Shaking her head, the night before began to come back to her. Oh my god! She had… with Dennis! How? He was a ghost for crying out loud! She felt an arm slip around her waist and pull her back to the bed. She didn't struggle, and Dennis materialized again, planting a silent kiss on her lips. Her body was electrically charged as she allowed herself to sink deeper into the feeling. "Why can't I have a normal boyfriend?" she asked herself as she kissed him back, and he rolled her to her back. "I am a sucker for the supernatural!"

Made your acquaintance late one night
You were floating around, you know you gave me quite a fright
You didn't seem like an ordinary man
More like a ray of light

You transcendentally imposed yourself upon my bed
You know you didn't say very much
I'm out of body and I feel so good in my head
You know I'm really quite touched

I wake up with your fragrance and it's all over me (What cologne do you wear?)
I walk around with a smile on my face, 'cause you're close to me
(Well I know you're somewhere)

Gonna take my chance on a different kind of romance
A supernatural thing
Gonna have my fill, it gives me such a big thrill to be with
A supernatural thing

You say you've lived here for quite some time
And I'd say that your skills as a lover are very refined
You know just what I want and I don't have to ask
Are you reading my mind?

You're not demanding for a man, that's really quite rare
You're not the least bit obsessed with your hair
You're not upset when I come home later than ten
For a ghost you're a very good man

I've got to be a very careful, never know what the neighbors would say
(They already think I'm crazy)
I wouldn't like to wake up and find myself in the family way (A ghost baby?)

Gonna take my chance on a different kind of romance
A supernatural thing
Gonna have my fill, it gives me such a big thrill to be with
A supernatural thing
Gonna take my chance on a different kind of romance
A supernatural thing
Gonna have my fill, it gives me such a big thrill to be with
A supernatural thing

(I can't see you.  I know you're out there you little rascal.  Stop that.)

I've got to be a very careful, never know what the neighbors would say
(They already think I'm crazy)
I wouldn't like to wake up and find myself in the family way (A ghost baby?)

Gonna take my chance on a different kind of romance
