Upon her arrival in Man's World, Princess Diana assumed the identity of a Navy Nurse named Diana Prince. The real Diana Prince followed her fiancé Dan White to South American thanks to the money Wonder Woman gave her. The Whites returned to the United States after the war ended, and settled in Baltimore, Maryland.

 Director of the Inter Agency Defence Command Steve Trevor Jr. was born and raised in Washington, and quickly rose in the ranks of the organisation after being promoted when his friend and mentor Joe Atkins left the Agency. Having started as a field agent, he became Diana Prince's supervisor, and she worked for him for two years, until she transferred to the West Coast. His mother died when he was a college student, and his father passed away in 1976 after suffering a stroke.

 Etta Candy married Charles Niles in December 1946, and she and her husband were Steve Trevor Jr.'s god parents. Etta was like a second mother to "Stevie" and the two remain close. When Diana Prince returned to Washington in 1977, she and Etta renewed their friendship.
