William (Billy) Telfer always had an alarm in him head that would tell him he was sick or dying. Prior to his experiences on the Delta Flyer on Stardate 53764.3, Billy suffered from Hypochondria and visited the doctor's office every week. However, briefly being a host for an alien "dark matter" lifeform seems to have cured him of his pathological terror of illness. He is best friends with Celes Tal, and is always reassuring her just as she does him.
